INVESTMENT PROMOTION MANAGER
TOURISM & AGRI-BUSINESS
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Vice President of the Investment Promotion Division,
the Investment Promotions Manager for Tourism and Agri-Business will
be responsible for directing and executing activities which support the
generation, identification and securing of investments in Jamaica's
Agriculture and Tourism portfolio. The candidate will be required to
identify and secure investments that make a significant contribution to
increased levels of capital expenditure and that best support sustain-
able development in Jamaica.
Key Responsibilities
- Exploring, developing and promoting investment opportunities
related to agricultural supply chains as they relate to linkages in
tourism;
- Providing local and foreign investors and prospective investors
with information on potential joint venture partnerships.
- Designing, managing and participating in projects to identify and
convert potential investment areas and match them with suitable
investors in Jamaica's Agri-Business and Tourism Sectors;
- Designing, managing and participating in projects to implement
marketing campaigns directed at targeted investors;
- Acting as account manager for medium-scale investors in desig-
nated sectors and monitor the activities and performance of the
teams working on investment development, promotion and after-
care projects for those accounts;
- Closely monitoring project costs in line with budgets and anticipated
project outputs (flows of investment);
- Assisting the Vice President of Investment Promotion in the
development of the relevant sections of JAMPRO's Corporate Plan
and Annual Business Plan in respect of investment development
and promotion strategies that best support the implementation
of those plans.
Selected Skills, Abilities, Experience and Key Competencies
- Graduate degree in Marketing or related Management or Technical
discipline;
- At least five (5) years marketing experience at the middle manage-
ment level;
- Experience in project design and implementation.
