Coffee

Coffee

Coffee grown in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica at varying altitudes (2,000 to 5,000 feet) is among the world’s most distinctive, trading at above average prices in the commodity markets.

Coffee ranks among Jamaica’s top ten fresh produce exports, with the bulk it going to major processors in Japan. Other importers include the US, Belgium, UK, Germany, Korea, China, Canada, South Korea, Spain, Australia, Singapore and Argentina.

Opportunities abound in the Jamaican coffee industry for value-added product development in areas such as specialty coffee roasting, sauces, baking and confectionery, essential oils, aromatherapy and cosmetics.
